Helfrich introduces Helmet Cams to Oregon QBs

Jeremiah Masoli, other Oregon quarterbacks debut helmet cams at practice

...
It's a tool that new quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich brought to the Ducks from Colorado. Previous generations of the camera have been too crude, but Helfrich says they now can get a clear view of practice through the eyes of the quarterback.
... and in other news

Also hobbled were Diante Jackson (knee) and Jamere Holland (quadriceps). Jeff Maehl (knee) returned and ran well. Kelly said Holland should be a go on Thursday

LOL!

Cody didn't speak very highly of the helmet cam and I haven't heard anyone mention them since Helfrich left.

Whatever, though. At least it gets CU football some more media exposure as an "innovator" program. That can't hurt.

Helfrich was also big on that XBox-like program that let QB's play against a virtual "D" onscreen....perhaps if Helfrich concentrated on REAL football and developing his own offensive game plans (rather than what works for Mizzou or Texas) he might be successful as CO!

Best thing to happen to the Buffs: Helfrich and Grimes(NEVER let a BYU guy coach your running game!) in the rearview mirror!

D'OH! should read "OC", not CO....ahhh.......first mistake of the month, what the hey!
