i actually Laughed Out Loud. heh.
Dan's trying so hard to sell it. He needs to understand that no one is buying. And we never will.
Jeez, now he's just looking desperate. Give it up..
I have no words:rolling_eyes::lol:
I do. But they'd all come out looking like **** or **** or ************....
I did the ol' sneeze and toot. Probably oughtta go check for skids now...
EDIT: All clear!
Im so glad I dont haaaave a ****ingag cat. ****. They meow and scraratch **** all day. Eat some nip, cat. get ti?? Cat nippp?
What the **** are you talking about, you ****ing lush?
Maybe he's trying to get drunk enough that what Hawkins says makes sense. I have tried to make sense of it a lot of other ways and it escapes me.
Cody also has more losses. i just don't understand the way the man thinks. talk about selective history.
Cody Hawkins: 28
Tyler Hansen: 9
Tyler has a stronger arm, better movement, sees the field better, has better instincts, and is taller, but Cody has done some good things as well.
I disagree on the basis that cats are awesome. They do not meow and scratch all day, they sleep all day.
Cody is everything you could want in a backup quarterback.
He's got game experience. He's a veteran. He's a good teammate. He stays out of trouble. He puts in all the work (film, conditioning, playbook, practice), so you know he's always prepared if you need him and has the respect of his teammates. He's supportive of the starting QB. He's got enough skill that you can win, at least in the short term, with him playing if you're forced into the situation.
But a starting QB at a top program like Colorado playing in an elite conference and taking on an elite non-conference schedule... needs to be a great athlete and/or have prototypical size. For all the good things about Cody, he is not that. If Dan has not or does not accept this regarding Cody (and other players, really, as a general philosophy) then his tenure at CU is doomed to failure.
I kinda feel badly for Cody when daddy puts out crap like that.
As long as Dan is coach we will continue to fail. He lives in peter pan land. This guy continues to say the same BS year after year and thinks the fans believe his schtick. He won't change to better CU, that would be admitting he was wrong. His ego will not allow that.
Not to mention that Cody redshirted for 5 years at Boise State and there's no chance he will ever be better than he was as a freshmen. A good offensive line and a good running game, translates to Cody being a QB who doesn't hurt you too much. That's his best.
Tyler's upside is off the chart in comparison. I stated last summer that if the competition was close, it had to go to Tyler.
If Cody beats out Tyler, I will be done.
You know, the more I think about it, the more I resent Coach's remarks, because it begs for threads like this, in which we end up beating up a great Buff like Cody. It's a bummer.
Neither of our qb's have anyone else in the Big XII or elsewhere saying "Why didn't we recruit those guys". Tyler only looks good when you compare him to Cody and vice versa.
Anyone beating up on Cody is an idot. Cody has a set of skills and we needed him to start at one point, but now there is a better option. It is Coach Hawkins that should take all the heat.
Hawk basically cannot count. Ask him how many wins it will take him to bring the CU program to mediocrity (.500) under his reign and he'll start talking about peaks and the valleys of death. Can't believe that we haven't had a winning season in 4 years. Four +$%#en years Brotha! He is one of the biggest idiots on the Earth.
I don't even know what to say anymore...I remain convinced DH simply won't let it go and we'll spend the rest of the year listening to DH trying to talk himself into playing CH via the media....
Heaven help me if Tyler isn't the starter this year.
I guess I should say "Heaven help me if Tyler isn't the starter this year and plays 95 percent of the snaps" because just starting is one thing -- it wouldn't mean he couldn't play lil' Hawk half the time still. Blah.
I predict Hansen will be the starter for the season opener - but I also predict that as soon as he makes a mistake, Cody will be in the game.
I fully agree with you, look at how Cody came of the bench against both ISU 2 years ago and Okey lite last year and had an immediate effect. He is a very good back up.
I think hansen should start but is he considerably better than Cody? Not really..
As of right now, you're probably not too far off. But Hansen has the potential to get better. Cody is as good as he's going to get.
Hansen will start and I don't expect Cody to be coming in much. With the heat the athletic department has/is taking over retaining Hawkins I imagine Bohn will exercise a more direct influence on the football program this year. Bohn knows Cody can't take the Buffs where they need to go and I believe he will issue some directives to DHawkins on some key issues if Hawk starts to wander off track, especially if the season starts to go south. Bohn has to protect the future of the program which means if the team starts to flounder he will try to keep key players happy so they will remain at CU after Hawk is gone.
