How about Dan Mullen

Mississippi State is having a nice turnaround season. He coached under Urban Meyer at Utah so he has some western connections. His salary is less than Talkins I believe. He is stuck in a division with Alabama, Auburn, LSwho, and Arkansas. He is proven and could be a great fit for us.

If he's willing to leave MSU now, I'll bet there are some schools in the SE that would love to have him...

But I agree he'd be a great coach, and this is the only possible circumstance where the words "CU" "Coach and "Mullen" should be used in the same sentence....

I am confident that after many years of sucking, MSU will easily pony up more than we would be willing to offer to keep him. Besides he has got to be loving the fertile recruiting grounds of the south.

Honestly I'm not sure what I think of this guy and not sure I'm sold on it. I'm sure he'd be an upgrade over our version of Dan.

Don't really know this guy. But, he would be much preferable than some unknown coordinator like McElwain or Venables.
