The defensive scheme is poor, IMO. Absolutely no pressure on the QB all year. I think the announcers said CU had 13 sacks all season.
I think we have like 10???
Guys, no depth.. The defense played fine at the beginning of the season.. They just wore out..(a lot like last year too)..
Agree on the recruiting.. They need some speed on the edge.. Hope Hawk knows what he is doing..
The DT's are doing all they can do out there. But the ends have been playing like ****. With the exception of Barrett who atleast gets to the qb every once in a while. Lucas can't shed a block to save his life. And Herrod is still coming around.
It's NOT the scheme. Its the execution.
Also would help if we could spell Nichols and Hippo on some series too..
I think we recruited pretty decent DLinemen last year. We'll be fine.
It's not only the lack of pressure from the DEs, but they also can't keep containment consistently. Saw way too many plays this year where the DE got sucked too far in.
Perri looks good at times out there. I saw Taj Kaynor today at DT also. But they are way too green. I can't wait to see Goree and Perri hitting on all cylinders next year.
Will Hudgins and Obi get serious pt next year? If I recall they were both big time recruits at DE last year (both 4 *s?) and we stole, I believe Obi from Georgia.
Drew Hudgins would've played this year. But he got hurt in springball. I forgot about him. Juco kid. And Obi at one time comitted to Georgia. Then became a buff. I've been hearing alot about Obi on the practice squad. I guess he's earned the respect of everyone on the team.
