Hypolite signed by Panthers

:gobuffs:

I'm glad he finally signed somewhere. Here's hoping he makes it past the cut and into the league!

:woot::woot:

Good to see good things happen to good people. Good luck rabid goldfish.

I think with his athleticism along with his experience playing off contact as a DT in college he would be a very good fit as a 3-4 DE, strong enough to take on OTs, quick enough to defend against the outside running game.

Hope he gets a fair chance and is not just camp fodder.

The panthers lost one of their starting DT's for the season a few days ago, so he should have a good shot at making the team.

He really doesn't have the height and long arms you look for in a 34 DE. If he makes it in the NFL, it's going to be as a DT. I kind of thought he'd be signed by a Tampa-2 team that wanted quicker penetration types. But I guess last season he showed that he could hold up at the point of attack against a double team to keep the LBs free, so teams that play that style like Jacksonville and Carolina are giving him looks.

Anyway, best of luck to him. Definitely the type of guy you'd at least want to put on your practice squad to develop.
