This was interesting.
Seems strange to be making demands when he was only holding offers from New Mexico State, Idaho, and Idaho State.
The wavering recruit was Garth Gerhardt. He ended up at ASU.
Well as long as he ended up where he wanted. I'm pretty sure we don't really understand this story.
I guess I'm still a little bitter about the whole deal. Oh well.
Good luck to Kai at UCLA. I hope he does well.
They're gonna be stacked on both sides of the ball in 2010, with J-Fly and Katoa.
Second one wouldn't surprise anyone, right? Get those Bruin helmet-painters to start working on a script "CULA" while they're at it.
Katoa didn't really end up at UCLA did he?:wow:
you just did:smile2:
No,I did not. You know my feelings on the matter, no need to comment
I see a lot of reasons for making demands, if he waits the other schools could offer his scholarship to someone else while he is waiting. His Dad was giving him good advice - "one in the hand is worth two in the bush"
Good Luck to him.
Rick: "wait, you didn't let me finish...We're going to be able to run the ball, or die trying this year to bubble screen the PAC 10 into oblivion.":smile2:
Funny, Kai suddenly grew 2 inches. He was 5'11" at CU. Now he's 6'1". I've seen the kid, and he was (is?) 5'11".
ugh this makes me wanna puke
I thought the quote in the thread title was from someone else....
I thought Rick wanted to be a dentist....
 That is exactly what I was thinking of...well at least the old Christmas special, not the rap. Well done.
I was gonna post the original, but the rap made me laugh.
He had already committed to New Mexico State at the time. So I don't see how he could've lost his offers.
Hell no, but I'm not ruling it out when things are all said and done. There seems to be a bit of a pipeline as of late.
You don't fax in your letter of Intent, you could lose it pretty quick especially if you are not perceived as being a top recruit.
True. I'm just saying it's strange to me. That's all. I think both parties knew CU was going to offer with Gerhardt going to ASU.
