I am more confident in this program than I have been in many years..

Did any logical Buff fan have us winning this game? Especially having lost at Hawaii?

Criminy.

If people are finding bright spots after losing to Wazzou, then we can starting talking about sunshine pumpers vs. realists.

Right now, reality is on the side of the 'moral victory' people.

I got another "moral victory" for everybody: Cal beat Fresno by 8 points at home, and nubs beat Fresno by 6 points at home. If we took Cal to OT, that means we would have beaten nubs at home last week!

Really curious to see who our RT is next week. It was musical chairs in there on saturday with all the injuries. With Harris down, we really need bahktiari back in a bad way to free up dannewitz or Lewis to play RT. Danne played soo much better in week 2, as did our centers. So far that Marshall hire is looking Aok.

And miller was killing fools all game. I saw on a pass pro in the first quarter that miller popped their Dt so hard he went back 2 yards.

Like your new avatar much better than the last one. Did you loose a bet with some HI friends on that or something?

Still too early to tell about this staff. The offensive improvements were great to see, however key penalties and defensive lapses cost the Buffs a win. This team cannot afford to lose the winnable like Cal at home, unless our coaches believe they can recruit a top 6 PAC12 class with just 2 or 3 wins this season. Recruiting under these conditions will probably tell more about how this staff does in the future than the actual results on the field. Yet another coaching staff is facing a major rebuilding project, and expecting a lot of wins in these first few years doesn't look realistic.

Plenty of good things to take the first two games - kicking and punting look to vastly improved, although the return game needs a lot of work. The offense improved significantly from game one to two, and if they can overcome the slow starts they could keep the buffs in many games this year.

The only real troubling part of what we've seen so far in two games is the running game - it simply doesn't exist. There is no forcing their will on anybody, and whether that's coaching or talent, it has to change. This is supposed to be a power running team, and unless it improves we're going to see defenses key on the passing and have Hansen running for his life, like CU QBs have done for the last several years.
