Bohn said the program and the department might not have done a good enough job over the past three years explaining to its fans the challenges it faced. “We maybe have been guilty of building a façade that maybe didn't reveal the hole that we were in and the severity of the situation we were in associated with the program,” Bohn said. Does anyone else find this statement condescending and insulting. This makes me wonder if Hawkins or Bohn have any appreciation for the fans at all. I am starting to believe that they think of us as nothing more than a bank account. I don’t remember Bohn being around during the dark days of the crisis that happened during the Barnett era. I believe it was us fans that were part of the front lines trying to save the school’s reputation. We were the ones defending our school to our friends and neighbors. We were and are the ones trying to recruit, keep, and return fans to the Buff family. (I.e. keep the money coming) We are the ones that watched the recruiting bottom fall out of the program. We are also the ones that appreciate the hard work that Bohn and Hawkins did to repair our image. But being a good guy, is not good enough, we demand a winning program. Hawkins has failed to move us in that direction for over a year now. This year has been a disaster and there is no sign that that will change. We understand that Bohn has a role to play, and is not free to say everything on his mind. But don’t insult us, and defiantly don’t underestimate us. We were Buffaloes before Bohn came and will be buffaloes after he is gone.
