they asked hugh charles which he preferred and he said he liked gb's method better, but that he thought hawkins' method would have them readier for the game. what a shock! of course, the guy would prefer not to go thru a pittman s/c session and voluntary 7 on 7 drills. but, at the end of the day, with all of our young'uns, this is really going to help the program. and, no offense at all to hugh (he's a favorite of mine), but one thing that will be good is that when all the gb players have graduated, we won't have any more "compare and contrast" stories. the players will only know one way: hawkins' way. this isn't a knock on gb. but, it does illustrate how hard a coaching change can be, even after 2 full years.
