Improved gender equality in CU Sports

This would not have been possible without RG and the drive to a successful football program. Football is the economic engine that pays for all the non-revenue generating sports. In fact, that's how RG and the CUAD delivered a 1.4mm+ budget surplus against a forecasted loss this year.

None of this happens without football success.

RG has done such an amazing job. I know some people were concerned with the talk at the time he was hired about "running the AD like a business" because that can sometimes be code for "all resources toward revenue sports, win at all costs in those, and do the bare minimum in everything else". That has not been the case. RG's vision is to have every program competing for championships and he understands the reality that to make it possible he needs football and men's basketball to maximize their revenue potential in order to have the resources for a first class athletic department across the board.

Would love to see this sort of thing posted from someone whose vote we (allegedly) don't have to worry about, but glad to have Heidi on the AD side here.
My big hope is that with Kate Fagan doing commencement that it will lead to her writing about the new facilities and how they have meant so much for women's opportunities at CU.
