In Season Mode is Upon Us - Watch Yourselves In the Recruiting Forum

Liver, he of the revered inner circle of the resplendent Junta, has just posted the "In Season" announcement. Just in case some of you are, by some miracle of incompetence (an Allbuffs specialty :smile2:), unable to find that obviously posted announcement, here it is again:

Fellow AllBuffs,

Football is right around the corner and that means The Junta goes into In-Season Mode. This means a few things for you, our loyal comrades in arms:


1. The Football board is for CU football related posts. Limit the threadjacks. Limit the off-topic stuff. Posts that don't follow the roadmap will find themselves arbitrarily relocated to the Island and other locales. Inside jokes and other circle jerks should be conducted in other forums.

2. The Football recruiting board is our most "serious" forum. Don't clutter it up with crap. Don't attack players or recruits. Don't go sideways in your discussions. Recruits and their families read this forum. Pretend you are at dinner at your girlfriend's parents' house for the first time and you really don't want to make a bad impression.

3. There will be much stricter enforcement of the Terms of Service, which you can read for yourselves, than in the off-season. Trolls can be amusing to toy with and we may even keep a few around, but if they cease to amuse us or cross our lines, they will be smitten without hesitation or mercy. The Junta maintains complete discretion in how we handle TOS violations. If you are just here to cause trouble, you're going to get popped.

4. Remember that this is a site by and for CU fans. Be careful and respectful about how you speak about players and coaches. They read the boards, too. Let's have fun.

I've bolded the part most relevant part above. Now let's all play nice, especially here. Indeed, today we've already had to move a discussion in a recruiting thread started by an opposing fan (flukes, I'm looking at you) to the island.

Finally, to continue the analogy above, pretend Buffnik (and all the real mods, and even me - at least in this forum :lol:), are all the fathers you want to impress. And that we have shotguns and ban hammers to go along with our short fuses when it comes to nonsense in here.
