    I thought the same thing. Wonder why decommit. My guess is something personal in his life (gf or family) encouraging him to stay close to home. I.e. We have no chance.

    There was some rumor about the Oregon DB coach looking into the Alabama-Birmingham head coaching job. That could have had some impact too.

    I heard that his mom has been really sick for awhile and he decided he needed to stay close to home. Oregon's DB coach is staying so that probably had little to no impact.
