BOULDER – University of Colorado senior Bianca Jones has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.

Jones received the honor in recognition for her strong performance over the weekend as the Buffaloes swept the Arizona schools at home to remain unbeaten in their last three matches. The Aurora, Colo. native played in all 180 minutes and led the back line that only allowed a combined 21 shots in both contests.

Great recognition for Bianca. She has been a key contributor all four years of her career. It's a challenge to go from playing on the outside of the back line to the interior. The responsibilities and reads are so different.
