Hawk is a douche and needs to go.
Posted this in the Koa thread, but I'll put it here.
Just listened to an 'interview' on 104.3 the Fan, and Hawkins was pretty bad. Angry, defensive, and uncooperative. Don't know if he realizes that Alfred Williams isn't necesarily against him. The DMac person should be fired immediately, though. Never heard a more useless and unprofessional jackass on the radio in my life.
Hawks a D-bag? So is D-Mac!!!!!
1-11...Here we go!
here's the link to the interview
Man, I went into that wanting to rip Hawk, but, I have NO problem with ANY of his answers there. That D-Mac dude is a complete **** up
who is "D-Mac"....i quit the Fan about 5 years ago.
He's a complete joke. How the hell the fan has him on in drive time is a total mystery.
"We just gotta shore it up a little bit..."
"We just have to continue to improve..."
"Pieces of the puzzles are pushing together..."
Thank you for saying absolutely nothing, Coach Hawk. You're getting really good at that these days!
man, that guy would make a great politician, ****ty coach, but WOW, he has the making of great slimeball politician.
That was pretty ****ty when they asked if Cody going to CU was a mistake, especially right after they asked him where he and his son were.
I like D Mac, but he was a douche in that interview.
Dude you've lost it.
im pissed and can't stand Hawk right now but you gotta hand it to him for not telling that guy to go **** himself
Can somebody post a link where Hawkens said "10 wins no excuses"?
I will agree with that, but Hawkins was not much better. Neither came off sounding especially well.
Go listen to the Kyle Ringo interview the other day on 1510 the score. Kyle claims that Hawkins made the 10 wins claim on at least 3 occasions....
Even though D-mac was being a douche, some of those questions Hawkins should have addressed a long, long time ago. Hawkins beating around the bush like he did only tarnished his image even more. The only way he can avoid this is to get some wins. Soon!
Of course you don't, you're a hawk apologist.
Wow. I don't know what people want Hawk to say to questions like that.
That interviewer is a ****ing tool. "Well that was frosty?" What the **** do you expect you ****ing douche bag? "How are you with your son?"!!! What the hell? **** that guy.
I have never heard of the guy. But despite his annoying voice, I thought he asked good questions. Hawk's lack of accountability for horrible results, and his unwillingness on defining a successful rest of the year, is comedy.
D-MAC is a jagoff for sure but hawk is so defensive and bitter at everyone but himself.
I dunno man. Despite a completely ridiculous line of questioning, I thought he admitted they weren't where they want to be, said there is room for improvement, and was hopeful for a turnaround. I don't see how that it is defensive or bitter.
I probably would have told that guy to go **** himself and ask him how it was between him and his son/girlfriend/wife.
Uhhhhh, think you have the wrong Hawk. Im a Cody Hawk apologist I guess...not Dan Hawkins. Have repeatedly said if he's gone tomorrow, Im happy.
He's really not even a sports person, but more of a stand up comedian. I never liked the guy, and was really sad when they split up Alfie and Hastings, and put Al with him.
But they moved him to "prime time" listening hrs because believe it or not, he's very popular. He never argues that he knows sports, he's there for comic relief and often says what other won't.
The combination of Dmac and Oren was atrocious. Oren is also a Dbag.
Yeah, getting rid of Oren was a good move, wish DMac was gone too. Hastings and Al were a good team, as were Evans and Clough. Evans and Clough had the #1 rating among men in the Denver market, and were broken up for the 2nd time in a year. I have no idea what they're trying to do at the fan.
It was in jest, forgot my :smile2:
Evans and Clough were the WORST IMO. Talk about boring, angry sports talk.
IMO - The best is Klatt and Kreckman. Entertaining, upbeat, and knowledgeable.
As for the interview - I didn't have much of a problem with it. DMac was overly aggressive and not particularly tactful, but I was happy to hear someone ask a few of the tough questions that have been on our collective minds.
