When was the last time someone tore a knee ligament @ CU and came back "faster and stronger?" Or even came back about the same?

Anthony Perkins-he looked almost in slow motion last year
Jon Major-He hasn't been the same
    MTM-Career is over after 2 @ CU
    Vince Ewing-Career over

That's just at the top of my head. And we're returning Rippy, Bell, and Creer this year. Hopefully PRich comes back "faster and stronger."

The one I will always remember is Cormier. What a shame.

MTM had knee problems in High School and was an injury risk from the get go. I think Ewing was encouraged to be on the medically unable to play list. Agree that Polk was a step slow after his injury. Major is too soon to tell, plus his role in the D changed.

I'm optimistic that this is an area where having an ex-NFL conditioning coach will make a difference. If anyone can help them get back to 100%, it's Malcolm. At least, I hope so...

+1. He's the first one that came to mind for me as well. Dude looked electric during the punt return against CSU his freshman year. It's a shame he was never the same after that.

I thought of him too, but it only took 10 years and most of his career. I wish you could get a Tommy John on your knees.

He's a good example. Wes Welker too. Others to add are Anquan Boldin, Jermaine Gresham, EJ Henderson. Going way back, Terry Allen and John Riggins both had bad knee injuries.

I remember Steve Smith from the panthers ran a faster 40 time after he recovered from a torn ACL. RG3 had torn acl couple years ago too. Tom Brady had torn acl couple years ago too.

As a Portland Trailblazer season ticket holder, I have no hope whatsoever of anyone coming back from knee issues.

I remember that white RB for CSU. He was from Kersey and was a stud in his freshman year. Tore his ACL sophomore year and wasn't any good at all after that. I can't remember his name. It was five or so years ago.

Sean Tufts had an ACL late his Sr year in HS but still started as a Frosh, Sam Wilder had an ACL and femur fracture his Jr year in HS and made it back, the younger the better in terms of recovery.

Sam's knee was done by Dr Cooper in Dallas and when he signed with the Pukeboys the Dr that did his inbound physical told him that was the best looking knee job he had ever seen.....duh
