Right, but regardless- UT, A&M, and TTU did almost join the Pac-10. In other words, the "threats" given out be legislature were not going to be enough to steer the Texas schools from joining a new conference without Baylor. The Big12 stayed intact for different reasons.

seems kind of counter-intuitive, but that's how the horn mind works....preferential memory trends to self-aggrandizement.

Texas is the biggest rival for OU
UT is the biggest rival for A&M
UT is the biggest rival for Texas Tech
A&M is the biggest rival for Baylor
OU is the biggest rival for Okie State

Tech / Aggie > Tech / UT.

Texas owns TTU, except for that one time...in band camp.
