Made the mistake of looking at ramnation

lamenation is awfully entertaining today.

CU copied CSU on the Harlem shake
CU attendance numbers are incorrect (Wofford was listed as 10k+, lamenation says it was less than 5k)
Arizona is a high school team and beat up on the crap 12 (forgot wins vs Miami, SDSU, and Florida)
Our student attendance doesn't count because our tickets are "dirt cheap." Yet CSU's student tix are free. Hmmm

Some of you guys care way too much about CSU.

On the Front Range, Wyoming has been our bigger historical rival. Step up on that one and tone down on the CSU thing. It's an important game for us, but let's not elevate it to some sort of red letter game that has us checking in on their message board every day. That's just ridiculous.

Ding ding.

I just do not care about CSU and wished more shared my sentiment. Flukes is absolutely right -- Cal isn't losing sleep over Fresno State. Stanford isn't losing sleep over San Jose State. Washington State isn't losing sleep over Eastern Washington. We beat them by double digits during their best basketball season ever. Just let it go.

your other state comparisons to the west coast are weak. Colorado is in a rather unique situation with its little bro.

that said - I like laughing at them.

We just love to hate, especially now that we are good at BBall. But why not support great basketball up and down the front range, Wyoming, CSU, CU, NM...the more the merrier.

The only thing that's weak here is that a Pac-12 program wastes so much time on an irrelevant little mid-major.

Yep, I stopped caring about them right after our win on Dec 5. Let little brother be what they may and celebrate the fact that bball is alive and well on the Front Range. CU, Wyoming, CSU and AFA are all having pretty good seasons. I really would like to have another chance at WY as they have beaten us in our house and on the road the last 2 years.

I don't know how they do it but Wyo has been good much more than bad over the years in BB compared to CSU's relatively rare success. They manage to find and recruit solid players to a place that is the equivelent of siberia for most quality basketball players. They are off the map in terms of media coverage and national recognition yet still manage to put some pretty solid teams on the floor.

If we can get to the point were we are consistently handling Wyo home and away then CSU shouldn't be an issue most years. If our target is CSU then Wyo is going to beat us more often than we would like.

Like any little sibling you want them to do well, you just want them to do it despite heaping tons of **** on them, and reserve the right to punch them in the face whenever there is direct conflict. Not having a younger sibling I am 100% confident this is how it works.

Much like Mike Montgomery's bladder issues, they flare up a couple times a season but end up harmlessly going away to the delight of all.

This needs to be quoted for posterity. Crayepicmega Burn.

Other than the punching him in the face, you're pretty spot on although if my brother did go to CSU I'd probably punch him in the face

Beat UCLA in football and basketball and then get back to me... :gobuffs::beer:

I know, I know, your first win over UCLA ever. Congrats. I get it, you're the little brother. The CSU of California and you're so excited to have upset big brother.

We still own you on the basketball court, btw.

That's just mean. Cal is possibly the nerdy older brother that smoked too much weed in the 60's and UCLA the more athletic douchebag little brother that wears his visor upside down and sideways and talks like jamie kennedy in malibu's most wanted.

Hope the CU game at Haas in March ends up being for the P12 2013 title.

I like your chances to give the Pac a 5th team in the Dance. Think you need to win 5/6 down the stretch, though.

The ACC arrogance I am dealing with here lately is just too much. I am DYING for someone in the Pac-12 to teach an ACC team a lesson in the Dance.

Why do you guys continue to do this to yourselves? We mandated that Utah is your rival.

I understand the historical implications and appreciate the proximity but c'mon....

Do you see UW and WSU bagging on Eastern Washington?
Do you see Oregon and OSU bagging on Portland State?
Do you see furd and Cal bagging on SJSU and Hayward State?
Do you see AZ and ASU bagging on Northern Arizona?
Do you see USC and UCLA bagging on Cal State LB and Cal State Dominguez Hills?

No. You don't.
Do you see CU not letting CSU leave the state competition in peace? Yes, one does...let it go. Stay away. Bygones. Who gives a sh*t about their B-Ball record? Who gives a sh*t about their fan sites? CU is like like Sharon Stone in Casino running back to her pimp after DeNiro is stern with her when it comes to CSU. Time to move forward. PAC12 is where you are and where you belong. That is all.

Hey Bear, it's not your place to lecture a Colorado Buffalo about with whom to ****.

You didn't even give me credit in this thread for citing your viewpoint that we need to not concern ourselves with CSU

I saw it and was happy you agreed. I simply got distracted for a bit with an Emma Coburn video interview on the Olympic forum but now I'm back and I give you due credit sir. I also think I need a nap soon. Lastly, props to you and this board's brain trust for being nice to another bear who I see stumbled onto the RPI thread at a most delightful time.

Good luck against ASU. They need a good beat down and we need you to administer a good beat down of them.

Nervous about the quick turnaround. Hope our boys are ready. ASU is big and physical, which isn't our best matchup.
