Mel Tucker leaves CU for Michigan State

Dantonio did MSU a favor by resigning. The issues he has created and exacerbated will be hard to recover quickly from, though.

He never won a National Title!
He did not build the program from scratch, it has been around for a long time!
Where did he get the idea of picking a successor?
Big boy business, big boy choices, had he not retired and tried to bully the AD, I would have escorted his ass out of his office and said GOODBYE!
Stupid situation, gonna be hard to find someone to jump in there.
 
I think the thing that bothers me most about Dantonio is that his behavior screams that he thought he was bigger than the program and was offended when MSU did not agree.

I can only imagine how many times Dantonio ripped a player's ass for behaving like he was bigger than the program.
 
Michigan State needs to move on to the next tier and this is what I gathered from the pundits:

Interim Mike Tressel is the fallback option

1. Lance Leipold - HC Buffalo
2. Chris Creighton - HC Eastern Michigan
3. Clark Lea - DC Notre Dame

Michigan State is a day late and a dollar short in a very competitive division with a dysfunctional athletic department

FIFY. I don't think "the program" ever entered into the calculation on that.

Umm.. I assume this guy's full of ****? I don't trust SI's partner sites given the USC/Clayton business but..



Edit: Futher investigation suggests he's considered a bit of a clown but it's still a pretty bold claim, he also words it cleverly to have a bit of cover.

Would be the ultimate **** you to everyone associated w CU to come out and dispel the rumors 2 days ago and go on a local media tour talking about how committed you are only to actually accept the job on the same day.

Yeah I have to believe this isn’t true because if it is, it means he’s fraud and a liar and I don’t think that’s who he is.
