Men's Golf at Bandon Dunes Championship

Today through Sunday, the men's golf team will be in action at the Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon, Oregon hosted by Gonzaga. Here is a preview from their website:

ON TAP: The Gonzaga University men's golf team will host the 18-team Bandon Dunes Championship Friday, Saturday, Sunday at Old Macdonald Course on the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore. This marks the fourth year the Bulldogs have hosted the Bandon Dunes Championship; where they utilize a different course each year.

THE COURSE: Currently there are four courses on site at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort: Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails and Old Macdonald. This year's Bandon Dunes Championship will take place at the Old Macdonald Course. All four courses are ranked in Golfweek's 2013 Best Resort Courses. Pacific Dunes is #1, this year's course Old MacDonald is #4, Bandon Dunes in #6 and Bandon Trails is #11. Old Macdonald Course is a Par 71 and 6,902-yards.

THE LOWDOWN: This year's Bandon Dunes Championship field includes 18 teams of five players plus three individuals for a tournament field of 93 players. Play will consist of 54 holes, contested over three days, beginning Friday, March 8 and ending Sunday, March 10. Team scoring will consist of counting the four best scores of each five-man team.

THE FIELD: Teams participating in the 2013 Bandon Dunes Championship are: the University of Colorado, Fresno State University, Gonzaga University, Long Beach State University, University of Northern Colorado, Cal State Northridge, University of Oregon, University of the Pacific, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, Southern Methodist University, UC Davis, UCLA, UMKC, UNC Wilmington, Utah Valley University, Washington State University and the University of Washington.

LIVE SCORING AVAILABLE: Live scoring for the 2013 Bandon Dunes Championship will be available at www.golfstat.com. Results after each day of competition will be posted online at www.gozags.com and e-mailed to each school's golf contact.
