Men's Golf at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional (Buffs Season is Over)

The men's golf team will be competing in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional hosted by the University of Arkansas at Blessings Golf Club from Thursday May-16 through Saturday May-18. The top five teams and top two individuals who are not members of those squads will advance to the NCAA Championship Finals, which are scheduled for May 28-June 2 in Atlanta, Ga. After Round 1, Buffs are in 6th

The Buffs had a very good first round and are currently sitting in 6th place, two strokes behind #12 Arkansas for 5th. To qualify for the NCAA Championships, the Buffs will need to finish 5th or better.

Not a good start in round 2 for the Buffs. Through about 11 holes, they have fallen back to 8th and are now 9 strokes out of the final qualifying spot.

The Buffs did not have a good second round as they fell to 9th place and are now 11 strokes out of qualifying position. They will need a great final round to have any chance of finishing in the top 5.

The Buffs Season is Officially Over

Great effort by the Buffs, but they ended up missing the final cut by 19 strokes to finish in 8th place. Unfortunately, they were unable to match the great score they had in the first round. Congratulations to them on a great season anyway.
