Nice KO return by the 'Cuse though and they're down at the 15.
minnesota's first season out of the metrodome and their opening game is in a dome. irony.
Yea, good thought. It would be nice to Syracuse to follow suit with the Gophers and go back to an open-air stadium.
We're going to need a ruling from the judges on that.....
mn right tackle is 6-7 385. :wow:
Cuse looks much better this year. Surprising what happens when Robinson in not your HC. Paulus is managing the game really well. OC is changing up the plays nicely to keep Minn off balance.
I thought Cuse was being a little too gimicky on offense early on but I'm sure alot of that was intended to help ease Paulus back into live action. Although that play where Paulus goes and they do a direct snap to one of the RB's has been pretty effective.
Paulus is playing well, you can see glimpses of why he was such a highly recruited QB 4 years ago. His athleticism makes him very mobile in the pocket. You can definitely see the enthusiasm in this team and the Dome.
gopher board is melting down and already calling for cosgrove's head.
This is the best game of the early part of the day!
Gophers had a couple of good looks at INTs in the first half. Should have capitalized, but here they are.
A lineman almost picked one off early in the 3rd that would've gone for 6. The Syracuse offense has been dead this half and now Minnesota is driving.
Tied with :57 left, but at least Cuse kept them out of the end zone. Now the Cuse offense needs to wake back up!
****, Paulus is picked off in the end zone in OT while trying to make something happen, now all Minnesota needs is a FG. :sad1:
Yea he did a good job avoiding the rush but should've thrown it away.
Damm, tough loss for the Cuse, but if they play this hard on defense all year and they open things up a little with Paulus they'll have a much better year.
