What a crying shame. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/bigten/2009-05-01-minnesota-scholarships_N.htm

"The football team's score dipped from 927 to 887 for the 2007-08 school year. The drop caused the program's multiyear rate to fall below the NCAA-mandated 925 cutline."

"Overall I am very pleased with the results in this APR report and the academic direction of the athletics department continues to be very promising," Maturi said.

He goes on to say they need to monitor student-athletes, but how can you be pleased by academics costing you scholarships?
