"I don't know the history, but I would say in most history when a head coach is fired in the middle of the season, those teams generally don't do so well," injured starting quarterback Tyler Hansen said.

So a 3-6 record, a 5 game losing streak and giving up 35 unanswered points to Kansas is doing well ???
Damn ... Hawk has turned this team into a bunch of pussies.

"Most" -- did they speak with 40+ members of the team to arrive at the "most" figure? or did they just ask Cody Hawkins and Scotty McKnight for their opinions?

And as for the rest --- they've lost 5 straight conference games. The idea that they are doing "well" now, and might do "worse" should Hawkins be fired immediately, is just ridiculous.

It's so striking

Wow! Not a single player says we want Hawkins back next year. No fire to keep the coach by the players.

There is absolutely no reason to keep him. Are we actually going to have any recruits visit for the next two games? Save the visits for the new coaching staff.

The force is strong with this one.

No way did anyone interview "Most" players, and no way would "most" players tell the truth either way, until they know who is coaching them Saturday. This coaching staff does not take kindly to criticism of any kind, and it will show in playing time or position switches immediately.
