The MPSF will be having the Indoor Track and Field Championships at UW starting tomorrow. Here's a preview from the Huskies' website:
SEATTLE - Conference championship action returns to the Dempsey Indoor this weekend, as an expanded Mountain Pacific Sports Federation again boasts one of the deepest and most competitive fields in the NCAA. Just a few weeks remain in the indoor season, with the Huskies and the rest of the MPSF battling not only for conference titles but for bids to the NCAA Indoor meet coming in early March.

This is the 10[SUP]th[/SUP] consecutive year that the Dempsey has hosted the MPSF Championships. The two day meet, held this Friday and Saturday, serves as the indoor conference championships for every Pac-12 team that sponsors indoor track, as well as several other schools from the Big West and West Coast conferences. This season, the Hawaii women’s team joins the mix for the first time, bringing the total to 15 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams.
Whereas with earlier invitationals that Husky track hosts many teams might only bring a handful of athletes, it’s a different story for MPSFs, as full teams are represented across the board. Many of the teams in the MPSF rank among the best in the country. On the women’s side, second-ranked Oregon leads the way, and should battle for the MPSF title with No. 8 Arizona State, No. 11 Arizona, and No. 16 Stanford. Several ranked men’s teams are tightly bunched, with No. 11 Oregon, No. 13 Arizona State, and No. 14 Arizona leading the way.

Friday’s meet begins at 12 noon with some field event finals, and track finals later in the evening. Events decided on Friday include the weight throws, pole vaults, long jumps, 5,000-meters, 200-meters, distance medley relays, and the women’s pentathlon. Prelims will also be run in the 60m dashes and hurdles.

At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, things with finals in the mile, 60m dash and hurdles, 400-meters, 800-meters, 3,000-meters, and 4x400m relays wrapping things up by 3:00 p.m. In the field, Saturday features the shot put finals, high jumps and triple jumps, and the final three events of the heptathlon.
