My Top 10

Two questions:

1. What's the difference between LSU/A&M/South Carolina and UCLA? Why are the first three getting the benefit of the doubt and UCLA is not?

2. Why is Georgia getting at least 20 votes in each poll while USC, Oregon State, Arizona, and Washington are getting a combined 10 votes between the two polls?

These are hard questions to answer.

No they're not. East coast and SEC bias.

Because last year shouldn't affect this year. We are just looking at schedules.

I didn't know that trailer parks had yards.

Again-our strength of schedule is higher than OU or FSU.

Nice dig-do you have an original thought in your head?

Did you read what you posted? PAC-12 was #1 in FPI. What carries the SEC is the AP Poll and a non-conference win % that doesn't take the quality of opponents into account. That AP Poll is about perception and has no accounting for whether a team is only playing 8 conference games + 1 BCS non-conference opponent vs 9 + 2.

AP voters > Your thought experiment.

No they're not. East coast and SEC bias.

Just remember when you watch the Bama-LSU game this weekend that those two teams have won 5 of the past 10 BCSCGs.

Your entire conference is 1-2 in that game in the same period. Oh yeah one of them cheated.

Well no **** sherlock. When your entire conference loads up on cupcakes they are going to have a good win percentage. We could look at the record versus other BCS conferences but your conference doesn't play any.

?

What you just wrote doesn't deny the bias. Therefore, you shouldn't have even replied. Then, you go on to make a cheating comment. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Almost all SEC schools have cheated. I'm not sure what point you're making.

The SEC has the best conference in college football the last several years. The PAC-10/12 has been up and down over that same timeframe. Not much argument needs to be made there.

What I don't understand is Charlie's stubborn refusal to acknowledge the PAC-12 is much better this season and the SEC is down. Even the casual college football fans can understand it.

This thread is really about rating OU over UA because OU played UVa on the road.

However to answer your question assuming the SEC is down Sagarin still rates the SEC over the P12. AP Voters also do.

So the PAC-12 has significantly closed the gap on the SEC this season. What am I missing here?

You answered a question I never asked. All I said was the PAC-12 was much better this season and the SEC was down. Given the gap that existed between the two conferences last season, your Saragrin ratings are proving my point. Nowhere in my post did I make any sweeping judgement about the PAC-12 being better than the SEC.

All I know is CU = bama because they both have an undefeated out of conference record.

Boom

You are a Colorado version of an Alabama fan that we call gumps. Is there a movie about somebody from Colorado that I can use as a nickname for you?

CSU is now rated at #84 and Virginia is at #89. So playing CSU helped our SOS more than the OU playing UVa.

Oh yeah CSU is rated higher than 2 of OUs Conference opponents. So much for 9 conference games meaning something.

Chattanooga may be ranked as high as Cal before the season is over. 125 v 108.

You guys need to take your posting a bit more seriously.

I did rate Alabama over Oregon, and you ignored the SEC/East coast bias and came back with some random cheating comment.

and some random dude from alabama has wasted an entire sunday defending a conference on a colorado message board. you are so weird.

I hope that nobody honestly believes that if FSU, Oregon and Bama in out that Bama will be one left out because there's no way that's going to happen. FSU would almost certainly be the one left out.
