Needs for 2018 Class?

Expanding on my previous post, you basically take the following every year:

1 QB
1 RB
1 TE
2 WR
3 OL
2 DL
3 LB (this includes your WDE/OLB types)
2 DB

That's 15 recruits.

Beyond that:

Is there an immediate roster hole in the 2-deep that worries you? If yes, find a JUCO for the spot.

Did you have unexpected attrition, underperforming depth or a large junior class in a position group? If yes, add another prep or two for it.

Do you need a specialist and don't trust walk-ons to make it happen? Sign a punter, kicker or snapper.

How many spots are left? Fill with "Best Player Available" while not over-doing things on offense or defense and while spreading it around.

How many spots do we have for '18? Is this going to be a smaller class?

In my opinion the '18 class is much more important to staying relevant. I'm not saying I would be okay with the '19 class to dip in caliber of talent, but I think a solid '18 is crucial to keep the ball rolling.

After filling needs with high ranking prospects at QB, WR, OG, OT, DE & ILB for '17, I am really hoping we can close on other positions of need for '18. I hope we can target and land 4 Star DT, RB, TE, CB, S, C and OG/OT. Then I hope we fill in with another RB, CB, S and wherever else necessary.
 
Need 3 RB's in the class 2 top safeties, and a stud at place kicker and a punter...

We need to up the odds of creating a great running game with the future OL's we will have to go with a great passing game. Special teams needs to step it up. The defense needs to be great with playmakers.
 
With Stenstrom committed, will the staff be pursuing other QBs? Even if it's a long shot, I would imagine they would at least continue to recruit guys like DTR from Gorman, until he's eliminated CU, right?

We are not and should not be taking three RBs.

All I got out of this post is you think we should be great everywhere. Sounds good.

Just a quick question, when you guys post who the lead recruiter is on the individual profiles, is that just who rivals/scout/247 lists on their profiles or are people seeing that somewhere else?
