Koetter has to be the worst idea I've heard. Lets hire the guy that went from Boise to the big boys and failed.

The huskers love the Watson rumor. They've been spreading it for over a year now. And if you heard it on huskerpedia, than it's true, 'cause husker fans are well known to be the most nowledgable fans in college football.

But they can't wipe that booger on us. No way.

The idea of Koetter must be straight out of the "pull random coaches names out of their ass" department...I don't give it much credence, fortunately...

I enjoy the near year end coaching carousel. It's fun to watch who goes where, and in some cases, even more fun to watch the ridiculous rumors. If MB hires Booger or Koetter, I doubt his job would last through the day. Not. gonna. happen.

Koetter could be a solid OC candidate. He might be available too.

A Koetter hiring would cause a full uprising from the fans and a complete cutoff from the donors.

I'm confused. Is Booger related to Shortbus, the guy who used to be our OC?

Booger is Shortbus and Shortbus is Booger. The Booger moniker came from an unfortunate camera shot up to the pressbox where Watson was digging out a resister during his offensive (no pun intended) play calling. At least he didn't eat it.

Extremely narrow point of view me from me, but he is tainted by the Boise stain.

This. Lets just avoid anything related to Boise at this point.

As I said earlier in the thread, Koetter would be a very solid OC candidate. Extensive coordinator experience in the college ranks and in the pros. Recruiting contacts in Arizona and So Cal. Experience at the coordinator and HC level in the Pac-10. Is he a name that would excite the fanbase? No. Is he automatically a bad hire due to Boise ties? No.

this was rumored last year but apparently never came through becuase he wanted special consideration for the HC job. If we wouldnt give to him then why would we now?

Things change when you are unemployed (i.e, his demands).

Koetter wasn't very good as HC at ASU. I would prefer to not have a retread head coach that had marginal success at a school in the same conference. If he is willing to come in as OC, then fine.

P.S. Isn't he OC of the Jags now?

Hopefully, we won't, but I guess the "next coach predictor" figures special consideration can be asked for since we no longer have the HC. Great need = higher asking price.
