get excited. Sadly, almost every single football player they show is either graduated or severely injured and in recuperation.

Wanna know what gets me excited when I see that video? Skiing. I can't tell you how awesome it's going to be for me to watch some skiing coverage. Outside of the Olympics, skiing just doesn't get on TV very much.

It used to be on ABC's wide world of sports all the time. Does that show no longer exist?

Oh.

edit: I just checked and it's been less than 15 years. I'm not that out of the loop.

If the show was still around 15 years ago, it wasn't on at a time when anybody could watch it.

Greatest intro in TV history...

I should add that I envision the Pac 12 networks to be similar in many ways to Wide World of Sports. We're going to see gymnastics, skiing, rowing, swimming, diving, wrestling, etc. Some of it will be boring, but most of it will be great, IMO. I loved WWS, and I'm really looking forward to Pac 12 Networks. Remember that when WWS was on, professionals were still prohibited from participating in the Olympics, so the stuff they showed was often amateur stuff - just like we're going to have on the Pac 12 networks.

The PTN showcased CU's winners.

Emma Coburn - natl champ
Jenny Barringer - natl champ
The Ski team - natl champ
Mens & womens XC Team - P12 champs
Basketball - P12 champ.

Rodney Stewart was a good choice as football player to highlight. Too bad the football team doesn't have results worth showcasing.

I am looking forward to watching XC races and track meets in events where CU is strong.

I really hope there will be ski coverage, too.

1. I agree - it's going to be great to watch CU skiing.
2. Two words: Universal Sports. It's a great network to watch olympic sports, including skiing. I watched every single world cup event the last two years - they actually have very good coverage. (625 Directv, 402 Dish)
