New Pac-16 rumors

CSU Knob-Slobberer
Rumor from a friend who knows a friend who has an uncle who knows a distant cousin that works as a janitor at the Pac-12 office in Walnut Creek is that while Larry Scott was taking a dump in an undisclosed bathroom at the Pac-12 office, he came across recycled toliet paper that included the infamous Mark Kizula article that suggested that CU join the MWC instead of Pac-10 back in 2010, he had this idea...why not invite Wyoming, Air Force, CSU, and New Mexico and make it 16 teams? There will be two divisions: Pac-8 and Big 8 which harkens back to the days when the old Mountain States/Skyline Conference was referred as the Big Seven before CU took that name to the Missouri Valley Conference where it came the Big Seven then Big 8.

That sounded like a good idea since the Pac-8 schools have been itching to distance themselves from the Arizona schools for years and locking up the Four Corners States would be a great way to protect TV geography from future raids by the Big Ten or Big 12. ESPN & Fox Sports happily overpay to keep the media deal in place so NBC Sports doesn't snap up valuable Oregon Ducks programming for themselves.

The Pac-12 will become the Pac-16 on July 1, 2014 so better savor those west coast trips if you are a current Pac-12 member who will be banished to the Big 8 division. Michael Bohn hailed the move as calling it "transformative" since that means he is less likely to give out excuses why football has struggled mightly in recent years.

The story ends when Larry Scott wraps that recycled Colorado State Ram toliet paper up and wipes then flushes the toliet.

Nash, I know you were the muthaka suggesting CU join the MWC instead of the Pac10. It wasn't 4/1, either.

My 10 year old daughter was more believable with her April Fools joke.
