Head of Google's gaming division once had the same position at Sony so it's obvious where the idea of that design came from.

Maybe not as bad as those boomerang PS3 controllers.

That looks like Forza Horizon 4 on a mobile phone.

Especially if they are of the Fornite variety...I'm not one who will waste time dealing with toxic players online. Some games will not work well via streaming at first. Fighting games require precise timing and would be negatively affected by lag if played online. I imagine FPS MMO games would be affected as well. But if you do single player, it's workable. Once they fix the issues with online matches, that might be the time that gaming is 100% streaming especially the twitch game types.

Anyone watching the Google stream? Impressive stuff! They demoed how you could switch between using devices (five of them) with no loss of data. The last device was an Ultra Chromecast or something like that.

And the Google gamepad looks much better than the mock ups.

Phil Harrison said this is the next gen of gaming and what I saw was truly next gen. I don't think hardware devices such as Playstations or Xboxes are going to disappear but I imagine this is going to be an essential part of gaming.

Google Stadia...yes that is the name...is capable of 8K 120 fps gamig...in the cloud.

Doom Enternal is capable of 60fps 4K on a Google Stadia single gpu. If Doom can be run smoothly on Stadia in the cloud, that will be impressive. id software will have an event related to this.

    https://twinfinite.net/2019/03/cyberpunk-e3-2019/

CD Projket talked about upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game being played on more than one generation and heard nothing about a rumor saying that the base price of games which is $60.00 could be going up to $80.00 next generation.

Sony talks about its upcoming console for the very first time. Will have an SSD faster than that on any laptop, won't launch in 2019, will still be disc based and based on what was shown to them will have 19 times faster loading times.

Just read that article...that SSD would have to be a M.2 one at minimum.

Ray tracing is going to happen and third gen Ryzen CPU & Navi as well.

But that does not excite me as much as the fast loading times mentioned thanks to the storage media. You can have the fastest CPU but it's held back by the old HDD. That should also even improve game performance. That alone would justify an extra $100.00 in cost above the PS4 Pro as it is rumored to be even if each PS5 will be sold at a loss.

343 Industries is definitely on death watch. M$ is rumored to have a $500M budget for Halo Infinite since it includes the cost of the game engine.

An expensive game engine could bring a company to it's knees...just look at EA's Frostbite engine problems.

At the same time, it could be part of the costs of developing the Xbox Two so we'll see. Maybe Minecraft 2.0 will use that one LOL.

Sony, then Microsoft, and then now Nintendo when it comes to streaming platforms?
