Nice piece on Isaiah Oliver on 9news

My first post...critical success in leadership in secondary which defined our successful defense last year which defined team success...he is beyond indicative for our future. Offense looks experienced and prepared but someone in the huddle in defense needs to demand excellence. FWIW..let the constructive criticism evolve.

I think both Oliver and Laguda will demand success out of the secondary this year. Whoever is also back there will be competent and I expect us to reload, not rebuild. With having Derek back at OLB along with Gamboa, possibily Gilliam, I am not worried about the LBs. My biggest area of concern is the DL but we do have Jackson back and bringing in Edwards will be a huge help. Plus having Jeffcoat as the coach, will leave us in a good place.

I have a feeling our secondary will not look as good this year as they actually will. I think the LB issues along with a new DL will cause opponents to have too much time to find open receivers, along with better running games.

We will see, but I think a better indication this year of secondary play will be turnovers as opposed to completion %.
