BOULDER — The No. 21 University of Colorado volleyball team (15-11, 7-7 Pac-12) challenged No. 19 USC (14-10, 7-7 Pac-12), but lost a tightly contested match 3-0 (25-23, 27-25, 25-22) by the narrowest of margins on Sunday afternoon at the Coors Events Center.


“In this league, anybody can beat anybody any given night,” coach Liz Kritza said. “When you’re playing close sets and it’s a matter of two or three points at any given rotation, then you can come away with a three set win. That’s happening all over the conference.
