I actually have some confidence that with this coaching staff, they'll play disciplined competent football. I also have some confidence that a talent differential will be plainly evident to even the casual observer in most games.

About 1/3 of the games will be blowouts (even if they aren't blowouts on the scoreboard, these will be the games where anyone not named big bang will know with a great deal of confidence which team will win after the 1st quarter (and sometimes before kickoff)).

About 1/3 of the games will be where our offense marches to field goals and the opposition marches to touchdowns.

About 1/3 of the games will be close.

And we'll win 50% of the close games.

So 2 wins overall.

Half will come in the out of conference schedule, which means 1-8 in conference.

Any player that leads those categories will be playing somewhere else in 2023, so I can't quite bring myself to care who it ends up being.

Yeah, I'll stop pissing in the cheerios now.

Going with 2, managing expectations. Hopefully more, but realistically we are an underdog in most of the matchups and at best a toss up in the others.

Total wins - 4
P12 wins - 3
A frosh TE emerges and stars
Buffs thin bench rears it’s ugly head
The team looks better than last year overall
Attendance is poor

I had a dream last week the Buffs average 56 per game, go undefeated and win the National Championship. That being said, I will be shocked if they win more than 1 game.

How many wins - 1

Conference record - O-fer

Offensive leaders:
Passing yards - Shrout
Receiving yards - Sneed
Rushing yards - D. Smith

Defensive leaders:
Tackles - Woods
Interceptions - Reed
Sacks - Lang

I don't know how, but we'll figure out a way to lose to the bye week.

We beat TCU.

This place is suddenly filled with optimism.

"Well, maybe I was wrong about KD - the changes to the staff look like they are panning out."

"Wish I didn't let go of my season tickets. This team looks like it could be decent."

"I told you all! It was Coach Blocking Sled!"

Then we lose a close one to AF. Similar comments after that game.

"Air Force is a nightmare matchup. F*ck RG for scheduling that game!"

Then we get blown out at Minnesota. And don't win another game the rest of the season.

That's my prediction.

My personal favorite from last year was “withholding the playbook” for the UNC game
