Official CU @ Washington State preiction thread

Pain, suffering, and frustration. And WSU better have a third digit on the scoreboard just in case.

Here's the Leach vs. CU history...

In 2002 (Leach's 3rd season at Texas Tech), the 2-year rotated schedule brought them into Boulder with a decent 5-3 record with losses at Ohio State, a home loss against NC State and a third loss at Iowa State. They'd just beat Missouri 52-38 in Lubbock, and arrived in Boulder to be slammed shut by a solid defense, 37-13.

Leach went on to win 4 of the next 5, only losing to OU (60-15) in Norman, then stomping Clemson 55-14 in the Orange Bowl. Leach had gone 7-6 and 7-5 in his first two seasons with his spread offense.

The next year (2003), Tech was also 5-3 but had lost two straight to Okla State and Missouri, then beat the Buffaloes 26-21. Leach ended his 8-5 season with a win over an easily outmanned Navy, 38-14.

Two years pass and in 2006, Leach comes back to Boulder with a 4-2 record and gets shut down again, 30-6. It was another 8-5 season for him with another bowl win.

In 2007, Leach would be going on to a 9-4 record, a Gator Bowl win over Viginia, but lost to Colorado for the 3rd time in 4 tries, 31-26.

So, Leach is 1-3 against Colorado, and has to be terrified that Embree will continue the long procession of shut-down-Leach-and-win games. Our mighty defense is on notice!

The Mike Leach curse continues...unfortunately so does the Colorado curse. The Cougars win by "only" 28.

Wazzou 42
Buffs 14.

Prediction: the game will go into the second quarter before it is effectively over. Shrock will play in the 4th.

62-10 WSU Actually was going to attend this game, it's 2 hours away. My neighbors from the springs and boulder were going to join us, we have all decided not to attend.

These will be the scores the rest of the season. There will be no changes which will make the frustration build to a peak.

Sad but true.

We are Wazzou of 2008, right down to the inexpensive former player hire. Granted, they beat Portland St and UDub that year (an 0-12 uDub)
