On Halloween at 8pm, the Buffs will be in Pullman to face winless in conference Washington State on the Pac 12 network. This should be the only guaranteed conference win, but you never know since it is Halloween. If everything goes well for the last several games we could finish in the top half of the conference.

Stanford 12-0
Oregon 11-1
UCLA 9-3
USC 9-3
Washington 8-4
Cal 5-7
ASU 4-8
Col 4-8
Arizona 4-8
OSU 3-9
Utah 3-9
WSU 0-12

There's nothing else until Friday and I'll post another update then.

The women's golf team sits in 13th with a +36 after round 2.

WSU won the first two sets 25-21 and 25-9. Currently WSU leads 16-13 in the third set. This is looking like it will be a disappointing loss to a team that is winless in conference.

The Cougars finish the sweep of the Buffs winning the 3rd set 25-19. Very disappointing loss to a bad team which definitely hurts our chances of finish over .500 this year.

It also looks like this loss will probably end any chance for the Buffs to make the NCAA tournament. I think that they might have had a slight chance by beating the lower ranked teams on their schedule and possibly pulling an upset. But I believe that the requirement is above .500 record and with an rpi of 72 it looks like it won't happen.

That was just a horrible match to watch. The Buffs made every mistake in the book and I think they invented a few new ones!
To me it looked like they were playing tense and scared. They probably saw this as a match they should be able to win to get their first ever PAC-12 road win but they need to be relaxed and focused on each point, not some end target, to play their best. Their pass was off most of the time. They had way to many "in the net" errors. Way too many times they work a decent point to get the side out and then the server hits a service error. Unforced errors just kept piling up and that is no way to win a volleyball match.
Washington State was winless in conference but they have recently been playing well, including a good match against #1 Stanford, taking them to 5 sets in Pullman before they finally lost the match.
They need to let this one go and focus on the next match. Of course its against #7 Washington.

This was a tough one to watch. Way too many unforced errors and this is the last place team in the Pac 12. Difficult game to watch.
