Quick hits from Pac-12 media day in Los Angeles.

Washington: Steve Sarkisian & RB Chris Polk.
  • Sarkisian: "We're evolving. We're playing a brand of football that we are proud of, that we can believe in."
  • Sarkisian on quarterback Keith Price: plays a brand of football that is "fun and exciting." But won't be able to rely on the quarterback like in years past.
  • Polk: Locker showed what it takes to become "a top-10 NFL draft pick."
  • Sarkisian: defensive tackles Sione Potoa'e and Semisi Tokolahi will be limited early in camp.
  • Sark on Colorado and Utah: "Both have pretty rich traditions ... two good programs, two tough places to go play."
  • Eighteen-month renovation of Husky Stadium starts in November. UW will play the 2012 season at Qwest Field.
  • Polk on Locker being gone: "I can't be the guy in the back anymore who's quiet. I have to step up and accept my leadership role."
