Other Games Thread - Week 7

I was really hoping this would be a year of total chaos in the coaching carousel that would see Brown, Pelini, Snyder, Pinkel, Whittingham plus some east coast coaches all get the ax (or retire), watering down the pool of good replacements and leaving many of the programs we would compete with in conference and for recruiting weakened and in transition years. As of this afternoon things are looking much more stable so I'm a little disappointed. CU is realistically going to need quite a few bigger name programs to string together consecutive down years to help us recover more quickly.

How many guys are we competing for against those coaches? If we start winning we can get some of those guys, but for now we have to compete and win before we can get their attention. Either that or we need a stellar recruiter (see Lupoi at Udub). MM is building the program one small brick at a time. Our turn around will probably not be as fast as udubs and people still are questioning him there. :/

Wins would go a long way toward getting that attention, but at the same time a 3 or 4 win season means I also have to hope some programs who are on their way to a better recruiting class have their seasons very unfortunately go in the tank.

Gotta go with Grandma Snyder and the purple jucos.
**** Bailer.

Playmakers all over in Udub. Sigh. How many years ago did they winless?

Udub got ****ed with a no call horse collar.

Freaking LSU - they had 10 juniors declare for the draft last year and they still are loaded.

It pays to be the only major CFB team in a very talent rich state.

That and the ability to oversign SEC style. That helps. A lot.

Wash only down by a td now.

Oregon hasn't really had to play a 4th quarter this year. It might actually get interesting.

Bishop Sankey for UW is pretty damn good.

That's an understatement. The guy is as good as Gurley, but isn't hurt. If he played for and sec team he'd be one of the front runners for the heisman.
