Big night tonight in the Pac-12

CU vs AZ
UO vs UW

We win tonight and UO wins and we are tied for first with Cal and UW. Making us #2 because of tie-breakers.

That would make that Cal game huge in two weeks.

Go Buffs
Go Ducks(eww)

Bubble team Bama loses.

Last week Bama coach Anthony Grant suspended his top four players. Tonight, he brought back two of them, but it appears they've got some internal issues moving forward. RPI is still pretty solid at 38, but at 16-9 (5-6) they need to win at least 4/5 to close the regular season.

Bama has been a serious disappointment this year. I really thought they'd be a tourney lock.

Purdue crushed the Illini's hopes of dancing, and probably Bruce Weber's job as well with their win in Champaign tonight. Illinois falls to 16-10 (5-8), having lost 4 straight and 7/8.

Another B1G bubble team, Northwestern, lost at Indiana tonight. Wildcats are now 15-10 (5-8).

Miami lost to UNC tonight. Hurricanes are 15-9 (6-5) and look to be right on the bubble, though they'd get in if the season ended today.

CSU lost 70-69 at Boise State on a last second shot. Terrible loss for the Rams. That ends their March Madness hopes, without question.

The Pac-12 is taking a ton of the heat, but there is some BAD basketball taking place throughout all of college basketball this year.

One of those games happened last night in the Big12. Texas A+M squeaked by Texas Tech 47-38...in Men's basketball. Not very good fundamentals.
Game stats:
27 turnovers
35-97 from the floor (36%)
6-13 from the FT line (ye-owch)

Still sickens me we lost to those scrubs by a point in their gym. Free throws

Definitely the worst loss of the year. No excuse for that one, and it's sickening that it might cost us a ticket to the Dance

The mystery of the RPI continues. CSU loses to Boise State and only drops 3 spots? Seriously? Sure enough, there they are sitting at 33rd..

Understand the sentiment on the csewe loss, but think of it this way -- they're one of the teams hovering around the bubble. So the loss (and negligible rpi hit) actually helps us out.

NC State was up by 20 in Cameron with about 11 minutes left but Duke came back and won. Tough loss for State but they're still on the plus side of the bubble.

Tough loss. Up 19 at one point and couldn't finish them. You're right that NCSU is in decent shape for now, but they'd be wise to win one of their next two (FSU, UNC both in Raleigh). If they lost both of those, things could start to get pretty dicey as they'd be 18-10 (7-6).

FSU beat VT on a last second three tonight. Seems like the 'Noles often flame out late in the season (not that they have...yet, but with that loss to BC last week and this poor performance tonight, you've got to wonder)

Maryland beat BC tonight. Terps are now 15-10 (5-6). At least this Buffs loss has remained somewhat respectable -- thankfully the Terps are well inside the RPI top 100.

Not a whole lot of bubble teams in action tonight, but Ole Miss got destroyed in Oxford by Vanderbilt, 102-76. Rebs drop to 15-10 (5-6) and now have to play @ Kentucky. That bubble is popping.

Drexel crushed Cleveland State in a bracket buster game. Barring a monumental turnaround, that knocks Cleveland State out of the Dance. They're 20-8, but 10-5 in the Horizon and have now lost 4 straight.

Wichita State might be the best team in the state of Kansas.

They are absolutely destroying Davidson on the road.

You've got to think that if Davidson doesn't win the Southern conference tourney that it's going to be a 1-bid league now. (Davidson probably won't get an at-large.)

This is a very good result for CU's RPI, too.

Keep an eye on the ACC.

Maryland is even @ Virginia at halftime.

Wake Forest is even @ Miami (bubble team) at halftime.

UConn just got beat by 15 at home to Marquette. I still think UConn makes the tourney, but at 16-10 (6-8) they've got work to do. They need to go 3-1 over their last 4 and they're not going to beat Syracuse so they can't afford a slip up. This is good for us.

Sad thing is that Uconn will get in with a subpar resume over a CU team with a better resume.

Thanks for nothing. Both got rolled in the 2nd half.

WF lost by 18. MD lost by 27.

Oh, and a big "**** you!" to UCLA for making the Pac-12 look worse with a loss at a ****** St. John's.

South Dakota State's win over a decent Buffalo squad help their resume and makes UDub's loss to them look less bad. SD State is now 22-7.

Memphis losing at home to a .500 UTEP squad may have put them on the wrong side of the bubble. 19-8 (9-3) in a bad C-USA.
