Sounds like Arizona is having a few problems. There are questions about whether sophomore guard Allonzo Trier will be eligible to play this year, sophomore center Chance Comanche is academically ineligible, and freshman forward Ray Smith tore an ACL for the third time and has retired.

UCLA freshman center Ike Anigbogu tore his meniscus and will miss 4-6 weeks

Yeah, not to mention Ferguson deciding not to go there over the summer. I think Arizona actually may disappoint this year, but I really like where they're headed. They signed a really great recruiting class, and I think a lot of those players will stay 2-4 years. Arizona could be building for a really strong run at the title in a few years.

Can never count out sean miller & the 7 guys he has are all blue chippers but his comments speak volumes. Playing them early might be a positive.

Oregon State's Tres Tinkle broke his wrist, but won't need surgery.

Depending on which wrist, he may have more "pressing" concerns.

I don't think so, actually. Genetics are a bitch.

A couple of more injuries in the conference last night. Parker Jackson-Cartwright went down for Arizona with an ankle injury and Bennie Boatwright for USC with a knee injury.
