Pac-12 Networks announces telecast for conference cross country championships

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (June 19, 2014) – The Pac-12 Networks today released the television schedule for the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships as part of the final release of the Networks’ 2014 fall televised event schedule that includes 260 contests across seven sports over 100 days.

Pac-12 Networks will also televise the 2014 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships, featuring some of the top distance runners in the nation. While the event will take place on Friday, October 31 in Berkeley, CA, it will be televised on Pac-12 Networks at a later date to be announced this fall. Pac-12 and NCAA champion Colorado will look to defend its title in the men’s race, but will have to deal with Oregon and sophomore Edward Cheserek, who won both the NCAA and Pac-12 individual titles last year as a freshman. Arizona will look to defend the women’s title behind Kayla Beattie and Nicci Corbin. A strong field will be in pursuit, including Stanford’s Aisling Cuffe, the defending Pac-12 champion.
