Pac-12 Season News (2017)

I would say their defense keeps them together each year, especially this year. At some point it will really hurt them.

I think they have an outstanding head coach and an established cultural identity for the program that allows them to sustain success irrespective of coordinators and position coaches coming and going. Hoping people will be recognizing the same about MM in a few years.

Mostly agree, but if Joe Williams hadn't "unretired," they would have been toast this year, albeit due to many injuries.

The quality of OC they can attract must be substantially decreasing. The word is out.

On that note...
Utah: Utah has hired Eastern Washington co-offensive coordinator Troy Taylor as the Utes’ new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

#2 in FCS Total Offense, #1 in FCS Passing Offense, somehow not ranked in Rushing Offense - appears to be a glitch with NCAA.com/stats in the database.

I believe Petersen has been recruiting at the same level as Sark so they probably have some depth. Big losses for Udub though.

According to fESPN:

USC redshirt junior DT Khaliel Rodgers will transfer.
Rodgers has been a useful, versatile backup body for the Trojans during his three active seasons. He spent time at guard and center in 2014 and 2015 before shifting over to the defensive line prior to the 2016 campaign. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder's destination preference is not yet known, but as he will be moving on as a graduate, he will be eligible to play for another FBS squad immediately in 2017.

Yes, please!

Absolutely would want him if there's interest.
