How the hell is Oregon State converting on almost half its 3rd downs and getting abused on the scoreboard? Weren't they shut out on Saturday?

I notice we are 11th in rushing 1st downs, not exactly "imposing our will" and "dominating my opponent."

Hell, I'm all for using the pass to set up the run from here on out.

Miller was pretty damn dominant Saturday IIRC.

Just because the YPC was ****** doesn't mean he didn't dominate. Only takes one guy to **** up and the play goes to all ****.

There was literally only a single play where he dominated some guy and almost pushed him into the CU bench. I don't think anyone on the CU o-line did much dominating on Saturday.

Oliver being number one in field goals made is ****** too. Field goal percentage great... but I wish we could start punching it in the end zone... false starts kill

After all the whining we did in the last two years about "Money" and then this? I am delighted that we have a field goal kicker--it was lonely without one.

Penalties should be fixable. If they don't get fixed this week, I'll start to worry. The 3rd down woes are due to the ****** running game so far. I look for CU to get some running yards this week, but won't hold my breath against better opponents--we might be a passing team this season.

Where are we in 3rd down conversions allowed? Near the bottom, I'd bet. We need to do better there. I'm afraid that our best option is send blitzers and risk getting burned for big plays. At least that will reduce the number of conversions, even if we give up big gains occasionally. I'd prefer that to rushing 4 and still giving up the 1st down.
