Pac-12 Tournament Tickets

So ridiculous. Do people realize it's painful trying to scalp at MGM? Your only hope is selling on StubHub. Last year I easily snagged 2 tix to every session. This year I get on 10 minutes after they're released and all I could lock up were quarterfinal sessions

I got sessions 1-4. Going to have to find a way to get tix for 5-6. No way am I paying $200 for tickets though. Maybe we could find a bar or something and reserve it for a basketball watch party.

Also, from personal exp, the title game tix are not worth nearly as much as semis. All the fans who aren't in it will look to sell whereas the semis has 4 schools of fans going for 1 ticket

Just wait until the tourney gets going. Prices will drop especially for title game if--God willing--the Buffs are in it. Fans of teams who are no longer in will look to dump. Whoever pays $200 for any one of these sessions is a sucker

Buddy sold his title game tix to a UofA fan last year for $200

Scalping at the MGM gets serious.

Even though it was UCLA vs Oregon? I don't get it. Again, semis are more valuable than title tix bc its 4 schools on 1 ticket vs 2 schools on 1 ticket

Man that is a bummer, can't believe how quick they went this year. All I got was the Wednesday 6 pm session.

I got all mine, but we used three different people splitting up the sessions. Otherwise it was ridiculous. I will be sure to let people know if I don't use all my tickets.
**** the scalpers.

Yeah my cousin went when Maryland was in it in 2002. It's pretty much the easiest big sporting event to score relatively priced seats given how many "losing" fans need to off-load their tickets and the big seating capacity.

I respect your teamwork and diligence. Last year, it was smooth sailing for any session. This year? Arrgghh. Maybe it's because UofA is currently ranked #1? Or just that the P12 level of play has risen?

Because 80% of people that went last year are going back, and scalpers saw how much Pac-12 fans, Especially UofA fans were willing to pay.

Definitely. Last year was a free for all really. I'm kinda worried what MGM+scalpers will do to make this less fun and more restrictive

MGM security will step up their patrols of the floor, but they can't do much more than that. Don't want to be restrictive in a Casino, it ruins the whole "Fun" part of gambling.

More tickets will be on sale soon thought. The 12-12 thing was a promotion and it was limited inventory, so maybe we will be able to get tickets still

Try again. I just noticed new tweets from Oregon mentioning the $12 tickets. I tried one session and there were tickets available. Good luck. Maybe they released some more.

Only sessions 1 and 2 still have available tickets

Tuscon is OK. It reminds me of Colorado Springs. If you think Colorado Springs sucks, you'll probably think Tuscon sucks, too. OTOH, Tuscon is better than 10 of the 12 cities in the Big 12 (at the time when we were still there).

It's a mass exodus when teams lose. Plenty of opportunity.

in 2007ish my family and I went to the ACC tournament in Tampa, Maryland was expected to do well, and we decided to go last min, so we ended up at a dump by the airport. Maryland got bumped early, not only were there tickets just being given away (not just by UMD fans), but we went to the Westin next to the stadium (official UMD hotel) to see if they had rooms. Not only were they mostly empty, everyone already pre-paid for their rooms, so all we had to pay was the service fees (~$50 if I remember).

It amazes me how many people bounce after their team loses. I had a great time watching basketball all weekend, even though my team wasnt in it anymore.

Just got an email from ticketmaster with a pre-sale code, only works today until 10pm (not sure the time zone). MBBT14 is the offer code. I got all the other sessions for 12 bucks during the 12/12 event, but missed out on semi's...unfortunately cheapest tickets i see with the code through ticketmaster are like $100?? Just thought I'd let everybody know about it.

I was also planning on purchasing tickets today for the sessions I did not get on 12/12, but when I saw that the worst tickets were going for $90 I decided to just try my luck with scalpers in Vegas.
