Wow, I have heard of TE to DE, etc, but to DT? The BZ article said he was up to 265 (big boy!) since enrolling.

Wonder how he will do there. It is a pretty big change and the guy has never played the position...

He said he is up to 265 pounds and is benefiting from the strength program at CU.
Pericak, defensive end Drew Hudgins and defensive line coach Romeo Bandison were last to leave the practice fields Thursday night and when they did so, they were in a lively mood.
"I'm just going to say, fast learner, Day One, looks promising," Bandison said. "George Hypolite watch out."

Throw away line at the end, but hey, :gobuffs:

To be fair, Pericak wasn't much of a TE in high school. His "natural" position was LB. Still, the move from LB to DT is unusual. I would think the kid has the speed to make a pretty decent DE. But what the hell do I know?

Reminds me of a certain FB who moved to DT. Here's hoping Pericak's move has similar results.

Keith Traylor was a LB for the Broncos who ate his way to being a pretty good DT. Not quite the same thing here but it is possible. If anyone runs into him tonight make sure and buy him a few cheese burgers!

don't know if i'm gonna buy into this yet, but that's a pretty strong statement from the coach.....
