Playoff Option

We talked about the pod option but what about no divisions and top two teams play in the championship game ?

That would leave more options for scheduling.

The thought of playing UT,TT,OU,OSU,A&M,ASU and UofA every year bores me.

Not possible under current NCAA rules. The law that allows the CCG to be an "exempt" game from the 12 game max, states that the game MUST be played with the two divisional champions that are determined based on a complete round-robin format within the division.

This also complicates the "pod" concepts, unless the pods are just ways to rotate divisional alignments every couple of years (like the WAC did).
