Not surprising that Russell and Arias had the best showings. Is surprising that the Saints had Lang run routes at TE.

Arias will be in a camp because of his size, speed, athleticism.
Russell will be in a camp, if for no other reason, than his uncle calling in a favor
LOOK AT ALL THAT SPEED!!!!
He won't need his uncle calling in a favor. We like to bag on Russell and he is far from the prototype but he is the kind of guy who manages to make a team and stick around for a couple of years or more.

Nobody will look at him as a starter but he is a willing and able blocker who can find seams and catch the ball as well. He will very likely be a backup TE for somebody who plays a lot of special teams.

Arias does have those eye catching measurables. Unfortunately he can catch scouts eyes but can't catch a football with any degree of consistency. He will get into a camp, impress some people running around in shorts, then start dropping footballs and be gone.

With his athletic ability I wonder if Arias would not have been much better off if he had switched to defense a couple of years ago He could be a big safety or might have put on a few more pounds and been a fast LB.

Arias only chance is to take the Kabion Ento route and see if he can transition to a DB
That was who I was thinking of with the post above. Really hard to make that transition this late though, if he had done it a couple years ago I think he would have had a chance.

T. Lang numbers look like they show a lack of explosiveness. Might be why he never turned into a sack guy.
