BOULDER – University of Colorado freshman tennis student-athlete Dhany Quevedo will be representing her country of Venezuela at the Bolivarian Games from November 20-30 in Trujillo, Peru. It’s the 17th edition of the Bolivarian Games.

In addition to Venezuela, five other countries are participating in the multi-sport regional event along with Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru.

Quevedo is in her second semester of her freshman year majoring in communication. She has 12 singles and four doubles victories.

She has also competed for Venezuela at the 2012 Pan-American Games where she won gold medals in doubles, mixed doubles, and a silver medal in singles. Not a stranger to international competition, Quevedo won the ITF Grade 1 in Colombia (doubles); ITF Grade 2 in Bolivia (doubles); and the ITF Grade 4 at El Salvador (singles) and was the Copa Tigo International Champion in 2011.
