Here's a quick look at Week 6 in the Pac-12.
Arizona and*UCLA are off. All times are ET.
Thursday
USC (4-1, 2-1) at California (3-2, 0-2) 9 p.m. ESPN: USC has won seven in a row over California, including a 48-14 in last year. Cal has averaged just 10 points during that losing streak. In last year's game, the Trojans stormed to a 42-0 halftime lead on five TD passes from QB Matt Barkley, which tied a school record. The Bears are riding a two-game losing streak.
Saturday
Utah (2-3) at Pittsburgh (3-3) noon ESPNU: Utah leads its series with Pitt 2-0, including a 27-24 OT win last year. Utah is 8-0 all-time against Big East Conference teams. Panthers running back*Ray Graham is second in the nation with 149 yards rushing per game. Utah ranks second in the Pac-12 and 19th in the nation in run defense, yielding just 99.4 yards per game.
C0lorado (1-5, 0-2) at Washington (4-1, 2-0) 3:30 p.m ROOT: The series is tied 5-5-1, but the Huskies have won the last two, including a 17-14 decision in 2000. The Huskies have scored 30 or more points in their first five games. They never have scored 30 or more points in their first six games to start a season. Colorado has given up 14 TD passes, which is the*most in the Pac-12. The Huskies have 17 TD passes, which is tied for the*most in the conference.
BYU (4-2) at Oregon State (1-4) 4 p.m. FCS: Oregon State leads the series 5-4, but BYU last won 44-20 in the 2009 Las Vegas Bowl. The Beavers have entered October with losing records eight consecutive years. But since 2004, they are 38-15 in October, November and December. The Beavers are minus-2 and BYU is minus-4 in turnover margin.
No. 7 Stanford (5-0, 3-0) at Washington State (3-2, 1-1) 7:30 p.m. Versus: Stanford owns the nation's longest winning streak at 13 games. The program has never won 14 games in a row. The Cardinal lead the series 35-25-1, winning 38-28 last year. Stanford led that game 31-7 entering the fourth quarter before the Cougars scored three TDs to narrow the final gap. The Cougars haven't beaten Stanford since 2007.
No. 18 Arizona State (5-1, 3-0) at No. 9 Oregon (4-1, 2-0) 10:15 ESPN: ESPN's College GameDay will be on hand for the first matchup of ranked Pac-12 teams this season. Arizona State leads the series 16-15, but Oregon won 42-31 in Tempe last year. A big reason the Ducks won was a 7-2 advantage in turnovers. The Sun Devils actually outgained the Ducks 597 yards to 385, rushing for a stout 210 yards compared to 125 for Oregon. Ducks RB LaMichael James is doubtful after dislocating his elbow last Thursday in the win over California. At the time, he had rushed for 239 yards. Oregon has won 19 in a row inside Autzen Stadium and 14 consecutive conference games. The Sun Devils have lost 15 in a row against top-10 teams, their last victory over a top-10 team coming in 2002 over then-No. 6 Oregon, 45-42.
