If I'm not mistaken, I thought Shanny did not have them hitting as hard in training camp this year as in the past. Citing the length of the NFL season and obvious concerns over injuries.

Shanahan doesn't have the Broncos do much contact work during the season. Bill Walsh did the same thing. The NFL season is too long and the games are too violent and the rosters are too limited.
