NCAA Football: Colorado Spring Game

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffs will take center stage on week one.

The Colorado Buffaloes will not only open its first season with Coach Prime at the helm with a huge opener against the national runner-up TCU Horned Frogs, but the game will be featured on Fox’s Big Noon Saturday as one of the biggest matchups of week one.

Big Noon Saturday focuses on some of the best games of the season and broadcasts them to an early nationwide audience. As the TCU-Colorado matchup, and Prime’s debut, is highly anticipated, it was chosen as the first Big Noon Kickoff of the year. The game will be televised by FOX at 10:00 am. MT on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Coach Prime has been in the spotlight as he has brought in huge transfers and commits since his arrival in Boulder in December.

One of these critical transfers was his son, junior quarterback Shedeur Sanders who transferred from Jackson State, where Prime held the head coaching position prior to being hired at CU.

The Buffaloes went 1-11 in last years season under previous head coach Karl Dorrell, and many fans have high expectations of the team under the direction of Coach Prime. After losing to TCU in Boulder on the same date in 2022 by a score of 38-13, Colorado is looking for some redemption on national television.
